AIM

The aim of this course is to provide an overview and operational practices in Import & Export businesses.

Course Objectives

  • To acquire knowledge of trade Mechanism
  • To Identify the means of financing and securing cargo insurance
  • To acquire the technique of calculation of customs duties and other taxes
  • To acquire knowledge of Incoterms as regards to responsibilities of buyers and sellers.

  • Parties Involved in International Trade
  • Trade Documents, Incoterms & Mode of Payment (Trade Finance)
  • Different types of Import & Export; Freeport
  • Calculation of duties & taxes
  • Shipping and Cargo Insurance / Bill of Lading

Target Audience:

Importers, Exporters, Sales and Finance personnel, people in Logistics and Business Community, School leavers (Minimum SC)

Certification:

  • Attendance Certificate to be awarded after successful completion with at least 80% of attendance.
